Legal framework and anonymity
In Greece, egg donation is regulated by law and fully anonymous. Donors are carefully screened and matched to recipients based on physical characteristics such as hair colour, eye colour and skin tone. The identity of the donor is never disclosed — to the recipient, or to any child born as a result of treatment.

This is an important consideration for patients from countries where anonymous donation is restricted or no longer available, including Australia, Canada and parts of the United States.

Donor availability — no waiting list
In many countries, the scarcity of egg donors means patients face waiting times of one to three years. At Embryoland, we maintain a continuously screened donor pool, and in most cases patients can be matched and begin treatment within a  matter of weeks.
